Set up and run by five friends, Mitis Covey is a not for profit charitable organisation raising money for a range of causes close to our hearts.
The original members - Angus Archer, Craig Thorpe, Gavin Davies, Mark Bridge and Rich Cooksley - first came together to take on the Ride 100 challenge in 2019. It came about after Rich Cooksley first decided to take on the challenge while recovering from surgery and having been inspired by his partner’s recent London Marathon completion in honour of Pancreatic Cancer UK (PCUK). Over the course of the year they trained together and raised almost £10,000 for PCUK through raffles, personal donations and a successful quiz night.
Wanting to make a difference and having smashed their fundraising target, it’s fair to say the team had the bug and were ready to take things up a notch. Before the first challenge was even completed, plans were underway and discussions were taking place about how more charities and causes could be supported with their efforts. And so Mitis Covey was born.
